Above the Bright Stars took about two years to finish and is the first album I've ever recorded and produced alone. The album focuses strongly on guitar and is primarily instrumental. I'm trying to tell stories and describe my personal accounts of life by means of sound. I feel like I can express a much more realistic depiction of my ideas and emotions through these instrumental pieces than if I were to use lyrics. I haven't really determined the genre of the album yet, but if anything, I'd call it progressive/psychedelic/atmospheric/
nostalgia rock.
